Privacy
The tools on this site run entirely in your browser. What you type into them, such as appliance lists, battery sizes or the time your power went off, stays on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
What is collected
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare adds to the pages when they are served. It counts page views, such as which pages are visited and the referring site, without cookies or cross-site tracking, and it never receives what you type, paste or choose in the tools. The site itself sets no cookies and has no ads, trackers or analytics of its own.
What is stored on your device
If you choose a light or dark theme with the theme button, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the name wattcottage-theme, so the next page opens the same way. Nothing else is stored: the calculators and the checklist forget what you entered when you leave the page. You can clear the theme setting at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Copying and printing
The copy buttons put the result on your clipboard only when you press them. The print buttons open your browser’s own print dialog; nothing is uploaded.
Links to other sites
Pages link to official sources, makers’ guides, sister sites and two recommended sites, CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck. When you follow a link you are on that site, under its own privacy policy.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it handles the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages.
